First things first

Now coming to the core issue – who would want to deliver one lunch and say that it might be sufficient for two people.

We did.
We were the first one’s to do it.
We stayed with this idea for a long time.

Because when we launched, our focus was to serve lunch to a family of 2 who are senior citizens too.
But then came a hurdle. There were senior citizens who were single and for them the quantity of lunch that we were delivering was a bit more which was in 2016
costing Rs.90/- (In seven years we have just reached Rs.120/- in terms of costing is a different story altogether) and hence we started delivering less quantity of
Sambar, Rasam, Curry, Kootu and called it as “Senior Citizen’s Lunch” sufficient for One Person One Time.

After covid lock down’s things changed dramatically and many senior citizens especially those who were single & who where our regular customers moved their residence near to their near and dear one’s, and some even shifted themselves to abroad/other locations to live with their son/daughter etc.

Meantime, we had lot of new customers coming in who were not senior citizens.

But we struck with the same packaging and dropped delivering the Senior Citizen Lunch (i.e One person one time quantity)

From 1 January 2024 both the pricing and the packaging will get revised and changed as detailed below.

Hence it is important that it is read and understood by our existing customers.

New price list and delivery charges will get updated by 1 January 2024 in our website.

Price Change:

We are currently providing 4 spatula (karandi) of sambar/kuzhambu, 4 spatula of rasam, 2 spatula of kootu and 2 spatula of curry previously and are calling it as one lunch.
Please note that there is an increase in pricing with effect from 1 January 2024 as mentioned below

Sambar – Rs.36/-
Rasam – Rs.36/-
Curry – Rs.36/-
Kootu – Rs.36/-
One full lunch (Without rice) – Rs.144/-

Change in Packaging:

From 1 January 2024 we will be giving 2 spatula (karandi) of sambar/kuzhambu, 2 spatula of rasam, 1 spatula of kootu and 1 spatula of curry and will be
calling it as one lunch (One person One Time Quantity)
Effectively the new packaging will have half the quantity of what we were giving earlier.

Thus, New prices for one lunch going forward is

Sambar – Rs.18/-
Rasam – Rs.18/-
Curry – Rs.18/-
Kootu – Rs.18/-
One full lunch (Without rice) – Rs.72/-
One full lunch With rice (additionally rice, buttermilk, appalam/vadam, pickle) – Rs.92/-

Please Note:

1. We were previously delivering podi items, variety rice, pickles which we will resume in some time.
2. As usual there is no need to buy one full lunch, you can customize the quantity while placing the orders.
3. Poori, Chapati, Samba rava upma prices remain the same. Other tiffin items there is a marginal increase in prices with no change in packaging.
4. No change in Delivery charges except for Nanganllur and some parts of Ullagaram.

Please find herewith the price list effective from 1 January 2024 for all food items and also the delivery charges.

Reasonably good quantity of order in terms of numbers and value we are willing to extend delivery timings, areas and looking forward to deliver to some offices too.
